"Bayernland eG is a national producer of high-quality milk, butter and cheese specialties with regional roots. As a traditional brand, we reflect the consumer's desire for local specialties and cheeses particularly well. Our close ties with our dairy farmers and our local production facilities are key success factors here. This enables us to ensure short distances for the milk from the dairy farmer to the shelf - for maximum freshness and top product quality. Bayernland offers a range of modern cheese products in all their diversity - from traditional to trendy. At the same time, Bayernland gives top priority to fair cooperation with farmers/milk producers."
The tradition of Bayernland eG goes back to 1930, when Adam Pickel and Georg Bachmann founded the "Bayerische Markenbutter-Verkaufsgenossenschaft" a few years after the economic depression. In 1972, the Molkerei-Zentrale-Süd was founded and in 1993 the company was renamed Bayernland eG. Since then, Bayernland has been one of the leading producers and marketers of dairy products. Bayernland's recipe for success is experience and tradition combined with modern production technology. This is how extraordinary cheeses and dairy products are created - sometimes hearty, sometimes mild, but always unmistakably "Bavarian". A cooperative that has lived by values such as stability, responsibility, honesty and openness towards partners and employees from the very beginning.
