"Trummer potatoes: the potatoes with family connection! We, the Trummer family, are a traditional family business from Hahnbach. From the laying of the potatoes in spring to the harvest and all the way to the ready-to-sell package, we take care of our cultivation carefully and with passion. Among our eight different potato varieties there are also some old varieties which we actively preserve. Our air-conditioned crate warehouse enables us to offer potatoes all year round and thus to supply, for example, the dumpling producer Burgis in Neumarkt. Half of our harvest is thus processed regionally into delicious dumplings, and we sell the other half in our farm store and at farmers' markets in the district."
The Trummer family from Hahnbach has been cultivating potatoes on its 19 hectares of farmland for three generations: farm managers Nicole & Thomas with their children Antonia, Theresa and Carolina can always count on the active support of grandma Brigitte Trummer, Roswitha & Helmuth Gerstner as well as several hard-working temporary workers. The family business has become known in the region, among other things, through the Hahnbacher Maislabyrinth from 1999 to 2014 as well as through the Erdäpf'l Hoffest, which has attracted several hundred visitors to Hahnbach every September since 2015. In addition to farming, the Trummer family is active in winter services and also rents out marquee sets for celebrations in the region.
