"We have been cultivating the miller's craft for several generations and are thrilled day after day to see how the raw grain becomes a valuable energy supplier for our nutrition. Our way of working is sustainable and ecological: We obtain our raw materials only from organic cultivation in the region as well as from our own organic cultivation according to Demeter guidelines. In flour processing, we rely on gentle, multi-stage milling that preserves all the important nutrients, vitamins and minerals. Because we are convinced that only products of the best quality can develop their full flavor their healthy effect in the bakery or kitchen!"
The history of the Gailertsreuth mill goes back more than 400 years, namely to the year 1612. Since 1992 and thus in the 7th generation, Gerald Meierhöfer has continued the old family tradition as master miller of the mill. In 2007, he invested in the future with the modern new building of the mill. Since 2008, the Gailertsreuther Mühle has been recognized as a pure organic mill and produces exclusively high-quality organic flours from spelt, rye, wheat and other types of grain. At work, Gerald Meierhöfer can always count on the active support of his partner Karin Schmidt and his team of 8.
