"For the unique quality of Pilhofer organic eggs, a combination of years of experience, highquality feed and daily exercise for the animals on more than 48,000 square meters is indispensable. For the optimal feed supply of the chickens, various fruits are grown in rotation on our farmland. Our own production of feed guarantees the highest quality, which our customers appreciate very much. We do not use any weed killers or other toxic substances in the production of our feed (of conviction)"
In the past, dairy cows were conventionally kept on this farm, but since 2003 the Pilhofer Biohof has been certified as an organic farm and specialized in keeping organic hens. The farm is managed with heart and mind by farm manager Harald Pilhofer, his wife Annemarie and son Maximilian. Other female employees help pack the organic eggs, while the two farm dogs and a farm cat ensure that guests feel completely at home at Biohof Pilhofer.
