Philosophie:

"Bavaria Ei" stands for an extensive range of eggs from floor and free-range farming as well as organic farming. Our goal is to supply our customers with fresh local eggs. In doing so, we rely on the highest quality standards, which we can prove through several prestigious seals of approval and certifications such as IFS (International Food Standard), KAT (Controlled Alternative Animal Husbandry), "Quality from Bavaria", "Regionalfenster" as well as "without genetic engineering".

Die Geschichte:

With the takeover of his parents' business from the 1960s, Franz-Josef Kohl laid the foundation of today's Bavaria-Ei GmbH & Co. KG. This was soon followed by the construction of the first free-range barn in Gut Schwaben near Kelheim, with the new owner converting the existing barns to barn management for animal welfare reasons. Since then, the product range has been constantly expanded and completed, so that today's producer association "Bavaria-Ei" includes several locations and cooperation partners in the region. Today, Bavaria Ei's steady customer base includes restaurants, butcher shops and small bakeries, as well as small and large food retailers.
