Products: Sauces and ready meals in jars according to Greek tradition
Size of the establishment: Family business
Philosophy:

"We are a third generation family business with over 40 years of history. We have always offered our guests a variety of delicious traditional Greek dishes in our inn. In the spring of 2021, we launched the innovative project "In the Glass" as a creative solution to the pandemic-related limitations of our operation. In close cooperation with authorities and experts, we developed our products especially for filling in jars and have been producing them directly at our premises in Schmidmühlen ever since. In doing so, we place the highest value on quality and taste, just as we do in our catering business, and completely do without artificial additives, flavor enhancers and colorants. Our customers are thrilled with the idea of being able to enjoy a delicious portion of traditional Greek cuisine at home, even in these difficult times!"

The Story:

Grandfather Petros Stergiopoulos founded the family business in 1980 and was one of the first Greek restaurateurs in the region to lease a restaurant in Nuremberg. In 2001, his daughter Chrisoula Pfann took over her father's business and initially continued it as a leasehold operation. When grandson Asterios Dangas joined the business in 2012, he and his mother set the course for the move to their new home in Schmidmühlen in the northern Oberpfalz. With the purchase and eventual move to the Lindenhof in Schmidmühlen the following year, the family was no longer running a leasehold business for the first time in 33 years. In the same year, the business field was expanded beyond pure gastronomy to include a hotel business and kindergarten catering. In 2019, this was followed by the addition of an event location, and in 2021, due to the pandemic, the production of traditional Greek dishes and sauces in jars was added.;
